Tres Health Launches MGU, Expanding Integrated Underwriting Capabilities

Boca Raton, Fla. – May 18, 2026 – Tres Health, a national alternative health benefits and Third-Party Administrator (TPA) announced today the official launch of Tres Underwriting, its wholly owned Managing General Underwriter (MGU).

Tres Underwriting is now responsible for underwriting all of Tres Health’s level-funded health plans marking an important milestone as they continue their evolution of creating a full-service health benefits platform, integrating program management, TPA services, underwriting, consolidated billing, and digital health technology. 

“Developing our own in-house MGU was necessary to streamline turnaround time and create the data transparency we needed, for us, and our clients,” said Mike Feeney, Executive Director & CEO, Tres Health.

The new MGU provides underwriting and risk management services exclusively for Tres’ existing and future blocks of business. By bringing these capabilities in-house, the organization will further enhance client experience, operational efficiencies, pricing strategy, carrier alignment, and overall program management.

It enables tighter integration across divisions, compliance, and client service functions, as well as risk management through Tres Health Risk, the company’s captive.

The launch reflects Tres’ commitment to redefining how alternative health benefits are designed, managed, and administered in today’s evolving healthcare landscape.
